Soundbuilt Agents of the Month: VonKarl Inman & Ryan Sand

Interviewer: How long have you been in real estate?

VonKarl Inman: I have been a real estate agent for 32 years, and am coming up on my 22nd year with Soundbuilt Homes.

Ryan Sand: I have been an agent for 4 years this August, and have been on VonKarl’s team since 2015.

I: What attracted you to Soundbuilt Homes?

VI: I met Gary Racca (Soundbuilt’s Owner) on a Harley Run years ago, but I had been working with Kurt Wilson (Soundbuilt’s Land Manager) a few years prior. I knew Soundbuilt as being a home builder who built a large volume of homes throughout Pierce, King, Thurston, and Snohomish counties. Gary and I decided I would sit a plat in Snohomish county, and the rest is history!

I: What are you favorite Soundbuilt plans?

RS: My favorite plan is the Coronado Plan. It’s 3,134 sq. ft. and has 4+ bedrooms, 2.75 baths, a nice sized master and bonus room, and 5 car garage. This plan is perfect for families as everyone has their designated space. I also love the detail that Soundbuilt includes with the open railings right when you walk into the house. It makes this house stand out from the second you walk into the door.

VK: My favorite plan is the Brantley Plan. It’s 3,434 sq. ft. and has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, master on main, and a spacious bonus room as the main focus of the upstairs. I love how all the bedrooms are on one level, and the grand entry gives the home an elegant look.

I: What Soundbuilt communities are you currently listing?

VK: We are currently listing Voight Creek in Orting (4 homes remaining), Emerald Woods in Puyallup (7 homes remaining), and Yellow Rock Road in Maple Valley (7 homes remaining).

I: What sets your team apart from the rest?

RS: We work really well together. I talk to VonKarl multiple times a day to make sure we are always on the same page about offers, buyers, and any concerns. We are also very hands on as an entire team. We don’t use transaction coordinators; we handle everything ourselves from start to finish. Additionally, we are always walking our sites. This allows us to catch any errors w right away, and stay proactive in our communities.

VK: We have a team of 10 agents, who are all knowledgeable on every community we list. A lot of our success is attributed to them. We all come from different brokerages so we all have different talents and resources to contribute to the team.

I: What do you do for fun outside of work?

VK: I am always hand standing, on site and in my yoga classes. I am into any kind of activity, and especially like racquetball. I also love to travel. I recently went to Costa Rica for the 5th time. I love the people, I love living in an environment with natural foods, yoga, meditating, and an overall disconnected lifestyle.

RS: When I’m not on site, I’m hanging out with my kids. I’m either taking them to drum lessons, drama classes, or karate classes. I also have a black lab/pitbull mix and two Australian shepherds that take up a lot of my time.
